Both help you remember what is stored. RIVET includes household sharing and unlimited inventory without a paid app tier.

Why consider RIVET?

You want one shared household inventory, no item-count upgrade and no recurring app bill. Capture what matters, review it once, then search or ask in your own words.

When SnapFind may fit

Consider its documented specialist tools, including Siri search, offline use and paid selling tools, if those are central to your workflow. Compare those tools directly rather than assuming the two apps are identical.

Keep the labels separate from the app decision.

RIVET’s app remains free whether you print your own labels, use compatible existing codes or buy a kit. The Starter Pack provides 60 large QR labels. Total Home provides 292 adhesive QR labels across four types, plus dots and 10 hanging tags. These are one-time physical purchases, not subscriptions or feature unlocks. Questions before switching

Is RIVET a free SnapFind alternative?

Yes. RIVET includes unlimited inventory, household sharing, Ask RIVET, reminders and export without a subscription or paid upgrade. SnapFind also has a free plan; this comparison explains where its paid tiers differ.

Do I need to buy RIVET labels?

No. Start without labels, print labels inside RIVET or link compatible existing QR codes. Ready-made RIVET kits are optional physical purchases.

Can I move my existing inventory automatically?

This page does not promise an automatic SnapFind-to-RIVET data migration. Test RIVET with one container first. Linking a compatible QR code does not copy the records stored in another app.

Does SnapFind charge for every feature?

No. SnapFind provides free inventory for up to 1,000 items, QR scanning, reminders and export. Its published plan comparison places shared spaces and unlimited items in paid tiers.

Try one useful place before you buy anything.

Add a tote, drawer or freezer shelf. Capture what is there. Find it later. The full RIVET app is free, and buying labels is optional.
