Can I start for free?

Yes. The full RIVET app is always free, including capture, search, Ask RIVET, household sharing and exports. Print your own labels inside the app or use existing QR labels. No subscription or label purchase required.

How does household sharing work?

Invite someone to your RIVET household by email. You share one live inventory, so they can find the items and useful details you have recorded, and see the locations you have updated. Household sharing is included in the free app. Choose whom you invite and remove access when it is no longer needed.

Can I export my inventory or delete my account?

Export the household you’re viewing as a CSV for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, or create a printable report. Every active record is included, with its location, label code, quantity, descriptions, custom fields, dates, photograph links and documented values. Both options are included in the free app. To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, or use our web deletion page and verify your account email. Deletion is permanent. If you own a household, its inventory and associated data are deleted too, and its other members lose access. Households owned by someone else remain. See the full deletion details and our privacy policy.

What if I already purchased competitor labels?

Use the labels you already paid for. Import their QR codes or scan them to link them to your RIVET inventory.

Do I have to label every individual item?

No. One label can identify a tote, shelf, drawer or kit. RIVET remembers the items inside as individual inventory items, each with its own details and location. You can also record an item without giving it a physical label.

What happens when I move something?

Move a tote from the utility room to the garage: update the tote’s location, and its items stay associated with it. Move just the hatchet from that tote to the trailer: update the hatchet’s location; the other items stay in the tote. Photos, notes and details stay with each item’s record. Your household sees the updated inventory.

How much work is it to get started?

Start with one useful place. Print a label in RIVET or scan a label you already have, show RIVET what is there, review the draft and save it. Add more places and items as you need them.

What if RIVET gets a detail wrong?

RIVET creates a draft from what you show or tell it. Review, edit or discard suggestions before they become part of your inventory.

Worried about sticker residue?
